When Cory is asleep

***there is a mild expletive in this story but I'm sure you'll all get over it cause it's funny.
***Cory a) gets mad at me when I tell him he has to pray for us at night because if I pray he will fall asleep in the middle of the prayer, b) talks coherently-ish in his sleep, so you never know if he is actually awake or asleep and c) he also doesn't like it one bit when I swear, so I've stopped swearing.
Ok, now that you know that background, I can tell these two stories.
Here's the first one:
We were watching Camille and Steve's kids for a week while they were on a cruise, and Tarzan was the favorite movie of the week for the kiddies. and we weren't really getting as much sleep as we were used to, so we were real tired, which meant that Cory had to pray so he wouldn't fall asleep. So he's praying, doing great, and then he pauses for a bit. I thought he was just trying to listen to the Spirit and say things from the heart and all, but nope! Suddenly he starts singing "shoobie dup dobie bop, shoobie dabba dubie blah blah" (you know, the Tarzan song??) and I'm going what the heck is he saying and I actually thought he had started speaking Japanese at first, but nope. So I elbow him and die laughing and then he asked me "Um...did I just sing the Tarzan song?" Yeah. Ya did. Needless to say, we were laughing so hard that the prayer was forgotten and we were suddenly wide awake and couldn't sleep anymore. and it was funny.
Ok, here's the second story about Cory:
So Cory falls asleep at the drop of a hat, so the other night he was already sawing logs and I was still trying to fall asleep. and all the sudden he turned over towards me and mutters "I don't want those damn things!!" ok..... (please keep in mind that Cory NEVER swears) I didn't know if he was awake or not, because, as you'll recall, he speaks semi coherently in his sleep, and he gives my dad and Todd Priesthood blessings when he's half asleep and doesn't remember them one bit in the morning.... anyway! so I elbowed him again and told him not to say that word, and he turns to me again and says, "DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!! There. Is that better?!" Are you joking me?!? I was starting to get a little mad and then he just turned over and started snoring. Ok then. We're not really sure what it was all about, but it was funny the next morning after I realized he really was asleep. the crazy cat.
