A tender mercy

Last night Emily woke up crying and crying because she is teething and she's getting her two front teeth on top right now, which supposedly are the worst teeth to have come in. I rocked her for over an hour and she would whimper and cry on and off because she was in pain, and she couldn't sleep because of it. So finally I woke Cory up and asked him to give Emily a blessing. Cory is pretty much crazy when he is half asleep, (it was 1AM at this point) so he kept laying back down and saying weird things, and then he put his hands on Emily face instead of her head....anyway. He's a goofball. But I finally got him kind of awake and he gave her a blessing. He told her she wouldn't have any more pain associated with her two front teeth and that she would be able to sleep through the night, and also that she would be aware of her parents' love for her. So I took her back when he was done, and she was immediately better. I put her in her crib and she whimpered one time before she fell asleep, and then I didn't hear from her again until 8:30 this morning. It was a really nice tender mercy for the two of us.
