Eeewww, the flu

Do you know how many years it's been since I've had the flu?? Like maybe a million or something. Really, a long time. But then, my sweet husband gets it somewhere, somehow, and brings it home. Cory urped on Sunday morning. Then Emmie urped twice on Sunday afternoon, which meant I did two loads of laundry that day. and Cory went and bought Sprite. It's fine; the ox was in the mire. But I felt fine on Sunday. I had to sing really loud when Cory started urping, since I will urp myself if I hear someone else urp. So I belted out "Joy To The World" at the top of my lungs and it was awesome. And I didn't know it at the time, but compared to how I felt on Tuesday, Monday was amazing! So by Monday night I was thinking I'd beat it. Ya know, that I'd turned out like the Joj. The woman could take care of a million sick kids or grandkids and then she wouldn't ever show up with the sickies! How did she do that?!? I always thought it was a coolest thing ever growing up. So I thought maybe I'd turned out like her. I was a real nice nurse on Sunday, so maybe this was my reward or something. NOPE!! Holy cow then Tuesday came. I think at one point I told Cory I'd rather go through labor again then be this sick. Yeah. Labor! And then later I asked him if God was punishing me for something I'd done sometime, somewhere....Anyway, I'll spare you the rest of the details, but let's just say that I thought I was going to die yesterday, but here I am, almost well now. Hooray.
And if I hung out with you last week, I'm really really really sorry if you get this terrible, awful flu. I had NO idea it was coming to my house! But if you get sick I'll pray for you, cause you're gonna need it.

When Steve came home yesterday and told me that Cory and Emily were sick with the flu, I felt bad for you, but glad in the sense that you probably hadn't gotten it from our house. And that is a total bite that you got it too! It's so nasty having the flu when you're prego. Serious. I'm glad you're feeling better though. Let me know if I can do anything to help in times like those!

ok, so glad you survived the urp-fest! and two more things, a: are you pregs, or was Camille just adding a side note of her own?
and b: Rory, Moses and I all three had a devil of a rotovirus this time last year, and I was preggie, and all I can say is OY!

Sorry Tiff, that's awful. I'm glad you're starting to feel better. I hope we don't get it! I don't get sick often either, so hopefully I'm not due for it. Umm, and yes, are you pregnant?! That would be awesome if you were. I sure think Emily is cute so I can't wait to see your next one! :) -Katie
