Baby names

Seriously, finding a name for our new small child is becoming the bain (or is it bane?) of my freaking existence! I have thrown out SO many names to that sweet husband of mine, but nope! He only likes one name: Hailey. BoRiNg!! Here's the list that I've given him. Honestly, if he would be okay with just oNe of these names, I'd be happy to name the kid that.
Sydney
Olivia
Gwen
Whitney
Ruby
Anika
Lindy
Kennedy
What does he say when I suggest any of these? "It's fine, but I still like Hailey better." So I guess if we end up naming our child Hailey, you'll know that I finally threw in the towel. sigh.

And just for fun, here are some really funny names I came across today while searching for some good names. Seriously, who would name their child these names???
Sushi, Swoosie, Snowy, Shu Feng, Fairly, Bambina, Brilliant, Aurorette, Name (I promise that was a for reals suggestion. what?!?) and Nyx---does anyone know how to pronounce that one? Wow.

I know I'll end up doing the same thing, because no matter how much I love a name, I want Ryan to really love it too. If we don't both love it, I just wouldn't be able to do it! I do like the name Hailey. Ruby is my great-grandma's name :) And of course, Kennedy is my middle name, so I like those. Ryan has a cousin named Lindy and I have cousins named Hailey and Whitney (they are sisters). I think my least favorite is Anika. Makes me think of Anikan Skywalker from Star Wars. I like Danika better. Good luck! P.S. I hopw Ryan doesn't mind that I've already picked out 4 names for our next son :) -Katie

Me again. There is a family in my ward and the dad didn't like Olivia, so they named her just Lyvia. Pronounced just like Olivia without the "O". Kind of cute, I think! Just a thought. -Katie

Uh...I don't see why you think Hailey is boring. Personally I love that name. But, I hear ya on the picky husband thing. But at least he says your picks are "fine". Not Steve. And he always told me "Don't give in to any names that you don't really like expecting me to do the same. I will not." So helpful!

Have to admit of all the names there, Hailey is the best. But Carissa would probably be okay if you didn't use that name, cause then she could in the future! Then again, she does have that premonition that she's gonna have 5 boys, and I don't think Hailey would fit within that.

You have too many names on your list that are popular right now. So cross those ones out (that includes Cory's choice). :) I remember Stephanie was a popular name when I was a kid, I didn't like that other girls had my name, cause it was mine. :) My vote out of all of them is...hmmm...(I like Whitney and Whitley is actually on my list of names so if you go with Whitney, our girls could be buddies... Whitney and Whitley...practically twins. Except my kid will probably be like 10 yrs younger than yours cause I probably won't have one 'til I'm 40. :)) Anyhoo... my choice is that or Lindy... but then again that reminds me of the Lindy Hop. :)...but still cute.
