Emily turns 3

Since we took Emily to Disneyland on her 2nd birthday, we decided to follow tradition and go again on her 3rd birthday, too! (March 1st, 2011) What a lucky girl!  Daddy had to go to school, so we met my friend Rosey and her friend Suzy at the park.  I had never taken the girls to Disneyland by myself, but decided to be brave and just bust it out.  It was a little interesting trying to watch the girls so they didn't get hit by the tram, all while trying to load the double stroller by myself.  Fortunately we had plenty of help from kind strangers and we made it!
Rosey and Suzy were a little late arriving, so the girls and I went on Peter Pan while we waited.  Then we sat down to eat lunch, and that is when our friends arrived. After lunch we had to ride in the pink Dumbo for Birthday Girl's big day, and she definitely did not want to ride with Mom! Rosey was, of course, the woman of the hour, and Emmie rode with her. She loved it. (Just to show you how much my Emily loves her Auntie Rose---Rosey got married this past weekend so we went to the reception. Everyone, including the lovely bride, was dancing when we arrived, so we said hi to Rosey and then she took Emily and danced for a minute. Then we kept trying to leave, but Emily was constantly running back inside, following Rosey around like a lost puppy dog.  I finally had to pick her up and haul her out of there as she cried and screamed, "I just wanna play with Rosey!!!!" Yeah. It was very sad and sweet, all at the same time.  She loves Auntie Rose.)  Anyway....Rosey and Suzy were very accommodating and were happy to do all the kiddie things with us until it was late afternoon and time to leave.  Would you believe that this is the only picture I got the entire day?? What a shame! But Emily and Natalie were quite excited to see Belle just walking around! That never happens!

Later in the evening we celebrated by opening Emily's presents and eating more cake and ice cream with the Crowes.  What a great birthday weekend this little one had! Happy Birthday Emmie!

What a fun birthday! I love all the stories you share. Your girls are so stinkin' funny! Not to mention cute. :) And I echo the comment you made on my blog- I wish we lived closer together too because I think we'd be great friends. :) You guys should come out to SD!

First of all Auntie Rose could have danced all night with her little girls (Emmie of course is one of those!) and going to Disneyland with your girls was such a treat for me! Why don't we live less that an hour away from that place again? Oh that's right cause we love our husbands... weird. I can't believe little Emmie is already 3! What? And now baby 3 is on her way! Life is so great! Need to see you guys soon! Love you!
