We had a great time celebrating Lily's first birthday (March 14, 2013) with our Utah extended family. Lil loved playing with her wrapping paper, hated her cake, and enjoyed all the special attention. She got a pink bike from Mom and Dad, and some toy cars from her sisters. She also got a fishy puzzle from the Dodge's, and that is her favorite present. She plays with it everyday.
Lil was completely uninterested in her cake, which was a bit of a bummer. She hardly touched her cupcake, even when Mom put her hands right in it. The next day we gave her a plain cupcake and she pounded the entire thing....maybe she just didn't like the frosting?? Good to know!
This is her new birthday dress that Grammie Tami and Grandpa Jay gave her.

Oh my gosh, what a big girl! Isn't it so sad when they grow up? Ellie's first birthday was definitely bittersweet.
