The deliciousness that is homemade salsa

Since we always eat the salsa that my mom makes every year with the veggies she grows in her garden, we decided that we should probably help make it this time. I roped Cory, Toddy, and Tara into spending the evening at the Joj's to help. It's an hours long process, but we did what we could to make it a good time, even though it took forever and we didn't go to bed until 1 AM! The Joj always does the Anaheim chilis and the jalepinos (seriously, those are both so spelled wrong but you get my drift) since they burn your throat and your hands (hense the gas mask and the gloves). We simpletons stick to scalding and dicing the tomatoes, garlic, and onion. Good times, delicious salsa.

We look like bandits. Cory was too tough to use a towel, even though the chilis made him cough, too.

We filled this pot clear to the brim. That's a whole lot of freaking salsa.

The recipe calls for one bushel of roma tomatoes.

The Jojer braving the chilis. Worst job ever.
