Running
So here's another funny story about my recent sister's weekend vacation. We had a tour of the Denver Mint on our list of things to do. For those that didn't know, it's a federal building and you have to have an appt, and they are super strict about it blah blah. Well, the LeeMaster fam had tried to visit the Denver Mint before, and we didn't know about all the crazy rules, so we totally missed our tour. So my sisters and I were determined to lift the "family curse of the Denver Mint" on this trip. So we are eating lunch, thinking we are on time etc. Then my sister recalls that we can't have any purses, bags, cameras, phones, etc with us at all, or they won't let you on the tour. And since we are in downtown Denver, our car isn't exactly parked close. oh, and by the way, of the 8 of us, 3 are pregnant, with me being the closest to popping. So half of the ladies grab everyone's bags and run to the car, while the rest of us stay and wait for them. Then we get on a shuttle that will take us closer to the Mint. Well, once on the shuttle we realize that we are definitely headed the wrong direction. So we have to get off the shuttle, cross the street, and get on the one going the other way. So finally we get off the shuttle, but still have no less than 7 city blocks to walk before we reach the Mint. and we are supposed to be arriving right then. So all my sisters tell me it's time to run. Run? Are you for reals? In case you didn't know, I'm 8 months pregnant when this story is taking place. So one sister grabbed one arm, and another grabbed the other, and we proceeded to run. Cory was thinking that maybe when I said run I actually meant like walk a little faster than I normally do. No, no. I mean run. But the trick was, I couldn't take too long of strides, because then I would wet my pants. There was a fine line between running and wetting, if you know what I mean. and please imagine with me, I'm running down the streets of downtown Denver...meaning there are tons of people and cars. and seriously, people were gawking at me. Really though, I would have gawked too if I'd seen a ginormously pregnant lady running down the street for no apparent reason! So anyway, the un-pregnant half of the group reached the Mint before the rest of us, and the guard was saying they were going to close the gates and where's the rest of your party and tell your party they need to run and blah blah. So one sister pipes up and says, "well, they are pregnant." and the guard freaks out and comes out onto the sidewalk and yells down to us, "don't run!" and then tells my sisters that are by him that although he's never delivered a baby before he has delivered calves, so he has some training in delivery. Wow. that makes me feel so much better! So anyway, the bottom line is, we were ten minutes late but they let us in since the pregnant girls ran, and we lifted the *&^* curse of the Denver Mint. And the best part is....we don't even have any pictures to prove that we've even been there!

So, I'm laughing hysterically about that! The best part is that I can picture it so clearly. I can hardly believe that you're pregnant in the first place, but to think that you're almost due is so crazy!
Hey Tiffany,
Its Betsy from APX days. I found your blog from Esther's and I am so happy for you that you are first, married and second, pregnant. Yeah! I was laughing so hard because I can just see you running pregnant and saying a few choice words. Anyways hope things are going well.

Great story! I'm glad you found my blog! I'm going to put a link to yours on my blog if that's o.k. with you so I can come back and check yours often. About the video I did of Jane, I started out by using Windows Movie Maker cuz it was on our computer already so it was free. Then when I was really getting into it we bought Adobe Premier which is way cool because it works with Photoshop so I can do cool things with the pictures. I'm loving the video scrapbook idea because it takes so much less time and money then real scrapbooks. Plus, our digital camera takes some video and we had all this cute video of Jane that I didn't know what to do with. Now I just put it in with the pictures. We also have so many pictures of Jane (70 just from the day she was born) that it would have taken forever to scrapbook all of those that I like. I'd be happy to help you out with it anytime. I already got another friend started with Windows Movie Maker and she's loving it too. Congrats on the baby! Can't wait to see pictures! Mommyhood is seriously the best! I love my life! Are you going to be staying at home with the babe? If so we need to hang out because it can get lonely. Oh and last thing before I end this extremely long comment, I'm in your parents' stake. I saw Todd sing in Stake Conference like the first week we attended our ward. I think about you every time we go to church because your parents' house is across the street and I remember playing at that church all the time. (Cue music for "Memories"...)
