I know, I know, how lucky am I that I got to have sisters in town two weekends in a row?! Thank you, Disneyland, for being so close to my house and making people want to come visit you, and therefore, me. :)
I had just enough time to do some laundry and clean the bathroom before Tara and Jeremy showed up with their cute girls. They flew in on Wednesday May 12th and we went to Disneyland on the 13th. Cory was at school so we had 4 kids and 3 adults, but we survived. Even though Jer was really tired and said it might not be worth coming back again...except for the part where they bought annual passes. ha! :)
Things started off great when Mickey walked out onto Main St right as we came in, which meant we were some of the first in line. Darci loved Mickey and even gave him a kiss!
But it all hit the fan when it was Emily's turn. First she just cried and wanted Phae. See her pointing at the camera while Nattie is just staring? I love it.
Then Mickey touched her and she just about came unglued. I was having trouble holding onto her without dropping Natalie.
We spent the rest of the day riding kiddie rides and walking around toontown. Darc and Emmie were in heaven just being with each other. They held hands and kept saying each other's names. It was so dang cute. They are great friends and we are sad we don't live closer to them. And, when Darci saw Small World she yelled, "Temple!" Haha! We were dying. Apparently she lives in Utah. :)
Mickey's house in toontown was a total hit until we met Mickey at the end, blast it all. As soon as Emmie saw Mickey she started to bawl again. (How did I get such a pansy for a child??) Darc wanted to see Mickey, but she heard her cousin wailing in the background so she started to cry too. Look at this precious picture.
Over all it was a lovely, if a little tiring, day.

You sound as busy with family stuff as us! When things calm I want to go fabric shopping with you to make some car-seat covers. I'll need your bargaining power (oh, and direction of where to go...)
so stinkin' cute. Those girls are so darling together.
So, Emmie's face in those Mickey shots is hilarious! Poor kid. A giant mouse is kinda scary if you think about it! :) We'd like to come out to Disneyland sometime this year too!
Such lovely ladies!! I'm glad you've been having such a fun time lately living it up with the fam. Aren't kids just so crazy sometimes with their love/hate relationships? Exactly how Johnny is with dogs. Can't wait to see you guys again sometime!
Dude-you should take advantage of her being scared of Micky to never go back to that place. As far as I'm concerned, DisneyLand isn't even close to the happiest place on earth.
Ummm... I think you need to amend your blog post here. You state that you...cleaned the bathroom. Last I checked you make the hoosbando do that nasty job! ;)
Well plan a day to meet us in September! probably the 12-17th. and Barb, Disneyland is most definitely one of THE happiest places on Earth!
That is so fun! Tara said you love visitors - we might have to crash at your place sometime to go to disneyland!
What cute little cousins. :)
