My how times have changed

On Oct 14, 2008 Cory and I went on a date to celebrate that it had been two years to the day since our first date. Wow! Man has time flown right on by and our lives are totally different.
So here's the story of our first date:
Cory and Brad were buddies and they decided that they were going to go out on a limb and ask some girls that they didn't really know out on a date. Cory had met this chic named Tiffany a few nights earlier after Ward Prayer, so he decided to ask her out. So Brad and Cory go over to Tiff's house under the disguise of inviting the whole apt to the upcoming ward party, and Cory was going to slip in the date invite as well. Well, Tiff wasn't home, but her roommate Keriann was, and she invited the boys in. So Brad realizes that this roommate chic is pretty hot, so he wants to ask her out. Cory gets Tiff's digits from Keri so he can call her later, and he's ready to leave, but then Brad busts out. He tells Keri that "a bunch of us are going up the canyon on Saturday" and did she want to go. To which Keri replys, "well, I have a test to take on Sat, but if I get done in time then maybe I'll come." Then Brad says, "well, it's like a date thing." Nice. Smooth move newly returned missionary! So Keri says she'll hurry with her test, since it's "a date thing".
So the day arrives and Tiff definitely doesn't remember what her date looks like, even though she's met him, and tells Keri she needs to make it perfectly clear whos date is whos, so Tiff doesn't look like the village idiot. When the boys walk in Tiff really hopes that the big, tall, football player dude is her date, but alas, Keri says "hi Brad!" nice and loud so Tiff knows that's not her date. Blast! :)
The boys took the girls up the canyon for lunch, and the girls were quite impressed because they pretty much thought of everything! Ice for drinks, a tomato for sandwiches, knives and a cutting board for easy preparation, dessert, yadda yadda. Then after lunch they played blindfold frisbee golf, which sounds super weird but was quite fun. And even better, Tiff didn't even care that her date touched her, which seriously should have been a sign that they were getting married or something!
So it was a great time, and then on the way home the girls found out that the boys were totally younger than them, and it was slightly embarrassing and Tiff and Keri pretty much wrote the boys off, since no one in their right mind actually dates a boy younger than them!!
In the end, both couples got engaged, married, and then had little ones nine months after they got married. And two years later, here we are, pretending to go on our first date all over again, except that we had to get babysitters, and we didn't have an awkward doorstep scene this time. Hallelujah!

I'm glad that you didn't completely write off Cory! We like him! :) (Even though he did make you miss Aaron's 1st birthday party!)

Somehow, I have never heard that story. And I didn't know Cory was younger than you, Tiff. And I didn't know you have couple buddies and wedding buddies and birthing buddies! How random is that?
